Annual Parish Meeting 2017

The Parish Council are organising the Annual Parish Meeting on Monday 10th April at 7.00 pm in the Village Hall. The Annual Parish Meeting is not a meeting of the Parish Council but a chance for all groups in the village to get together and share their news about their work over the last year.

In order to make this meeting a success it would be great if as many groups as possible could attend and give a short report on their work over the past year. Please contact the Clerk if you require any further information.

Neighbourhood Plan for Seagrave?

  • The Parish Council has been looking at the possibility of Seagrave developing a Neighbourhood Development Plan. A NDP is a way for communities to influence the planning system within the area that they live. NDP's are a powerful means for villages to influence developments in their area. They can shape development and deal with a wide range of social, economic and environmental issues. They allow local people to ensure that the types of development that the community wants are delivered. Creation of a shared vision is one of the first steps in being able to have a legal influence of the planning system in the area. The finalized document would form part of the legal planning framework.

Many villages in Charnwood are in the process of developing a NDP. In order to develop a NDP it is essential to have the involvement of the community and they would spear head the process. There are sources of funding available to assist in this process. More »

The Parish Council would like to see if there are interested members of the village who would like to become involved in the production of a Neighbourhood Plan for Seagrave. If you would like any further information or to express interest in becoming involved please contact the Clerk or speak to any of the Councillors. » Less
